Seaford Secondary College has an exceptional International Program, supporting students from a vast range of countries. Experience our Australian education and lifestyle in a friendly and supportive environment.
Our school is located in the Southern Vales region south of Adelaide, just 1.5km from some of the most beautiful surf beaches in Australia. We have bus and train services, which run to the nearby Colonnades Shopping Centre, and a 45 minute journey by train to the Adelaide city centre. The Seaford Train Station is located adjacent to our school.
Enrolling at Seaford Secondary College means that you are able to live with caring and supportive homestay families, surrounded by beautiful national parks, gorgeous beaches and abundant wildlife.
Our school caters for students in years 7-12 and provides an environment for quality education. Our international team make it a priority to provide international students with various cultural experiences and excursions, creating unforgettable memories and friendships. Programs and subject selection can be flexible, and our student team of International Ambassadors means that you will always have friendship and support from your peers in your classes.

Specialist Programs
Seaford Secondary College specialises in a range of subject areas; students may choose to study volleyball, soccer or dance. If you like cooking, why not enrol in one of our many home economics subjects; or if you are more of an outdoors person, outdoor education will allow you to participate in hiking, aquatics and kayaking field trips. For more of a hands-on experience, our practical technology classes are for you. Subject selection is completely flexible, allowing each student to experience curriculum that they otherwise may not have the opportunity to do in their own country. These programs are at no additional cost.

International Students can enrol at Seaford Secondary College through one of the following programs with the programs, supported by our International Team. We pride ourselves on exceptional care for our international students, allowing them to feel welcome and part of our school community.
Students who enrol in terms 1 and 4 are able to participate in fortnightly surfing and aquatics lessons, again at no additional cost. Every international student also has the opportunity to visit a wildlife park and meet Koalas and feed Kangaroos.
International students have the opportunity to enrol and participate in a range of diverse programs and extra-curricular activities so they too can reach their potential.

International students are supported throughout their time here by the International Program Team, and gain valuable experience in becoming active global citizens within their chosen pathways.
Our school offers 3 types of opportunities:
- Study Tours – 1 to 2 weeks with an organised school tour
- High School Study Abroad Program (SAP) – ranging from 4 weeks to 1 year.
- High School Graduate Program – where you can study at Seaford Secondary College for 2 to 3 years and gain your SACE and entry into University.

Aquatics and Cultural Trips
Aquatics and Cultural Trips
At Seaford Secondary College, we know that living in another country can be life-changing. We make it a priority to provide our international students with unforgettable experiences to create life-long memories.
Surfing and Aquatics
We are a 7-minute drive from the beautiful Port Noarlunga beach.
Students who enrol in Term 1 and 4 are able to participate in weekly/fortnightly surfing and aquatics lessons. These lessons are provided by highly qualified instructors from the Port Noarlunga Aquatics Centre. Students can also participate in snorkelling, kayaking, wave-skiing and body boarding. (Please note that we are unable to provide these lessons during Term 2 and 3, as the centre is closed at that time).
Wildlife Encounter
Every International student has the opportunity to go to a wildlife park and meet native Australian animals.
You will have an amazing time patting a koala, and feeding the friendly kangaroos that roam the park.

- Arrive at school at 8.30am. The international coordinator will meet you in the front office.
- Students will be given a loan uniform (to be returned at the end of their stay). Please bring black shoes and sneakers if you wish to do HPE/Volleyball/Soccer. If students wish to purchase any, or other parts of the uniform, they are welcome to.
- Bring lunch on the first day. There will be a full day of orientation, including subject selection. Students will start the following day after the orientation day.
- Students are encouraged to bring their own device (laptop).

Students choose the High School Graduate Program if they wish to complete their senior studies in South Australia and gain their SACE (South Australian Certificate of Education).

High School Study Abroad Program
We welcome and encourage International Students to enrol in our school and experience world-class academic programs in one of the most scenic suburban areas of metropolitan Adelaide.
Our Study Abroad Programs are fully tailored for the individual student, and allows opportunities to participate in student leadership programs and excursions around South Australia.
Regular contact with our International Program Team and Student Wellbeing Leaders allow our International Students to feel supported, safe and confident in their learning programs. International students can enrol in a variety of programmes based on their personal interest, and also receive credit towards their native curriculum programs.

Homestay Information
Homestay Information
Seaford Secondary College host study tours from various countries every year. and typically stay for 1 – 3 weeks.. We are continually looking at expanding our list of Homestay Families. All family types are eligible – singles, couples, families with children, empty nesters or retirees. There is 24/7 support available while the study tour is here and families are Host families are financial supported to offset any costs involved with hosting a Study Tour student.
We are continually looking at expanding our list of Homestay Families. Study Tour groups come from all over the world and typically stay for 2 – 4 weeks. International students enrolled in the High School Study Abroad Program can stay for 1 – 4 terms. During this time the students will participate in English Language lessons, local classes and go on tourism excursions.
As a local family hosting a Study Tour student, you will have the chance to:
- Learn about other cultures, customs and traditions
- Make lasting friendships with your student and their family
- Participate in activities and meet other host families
- Explore fun things to see and do in South Australia
I highly encourage all students’ families to consider becoming a Homestay Family. We carefully match all International Students to host families based on similarities and in addition to the student’s specific needs and your family’s requests.

All Homestay Families must complete an application form, and have a current Working With Children Check (WWCC) for any person living in the premises who is over 18 years of age. In addition, 1 member of the home must complete the online training for Respond to Risk, Harm, Abuse and Neglect (RRHAN) and a member of our International Team is required to carry out a visit of the premises.

Study Tours
Study Tours
Each year, Seaford Secondary College hosts a range of Study Tours from countries such as Korea, Japan, Cambodia and Thailand. Students are placed in an English as a Second Language (ESL) class, and also a mix of classes, based on their interests.
We conduct many local, cultural and exciting field trips including visits to Adelaide CBD, Central Market, Flinders University and Urimbirra Wildlife Park. Students may have the opportunity to participate in our Aquatics Program and experience activities such as surfing, snorkeling and kayaking during the summer season.
Our Study Tours are highly successful with testimony of our program receiving outstanding feedback from the Kyoto Board of Education, and Mishima from Japan.
